The company

Bond Technology Management Ltd. is an international company specialized in providing consultancy, system design, project management and support services for audio-visual entertainment-, communications, IT and security systems on board private superyachts. The company was founded in 2006, and we currently have 40+ employees in the team. Bond TM has offices in Cyprus, Amsterdam, Monaco, Barcelona and Hamburg. Our activities include providing expert consultancy to yacht owners, developing system specifications, managing the construction process and providing after delivery support services.

As our client base is growing, we are looking for an organised team player with a technical understanding to support us full-time mainly out of our Hamburg office.

Your profile

  • You have a technical background in IT, Audio-visual (AV), Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
  • You have worked in the AV industry for commercial, residential or marine applications.
  • You have prior experience designing, configuring and commissioning audiovisual systems.
  • You have prior experience documenting audiovisual systems in CAD and Excel.
  • You have prior hands-on experience in AV signal distribution using Crestron NVX, Q-SYS Audio Network or equivalent.
  • You have prior hands-on experience in onsite commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • You have solid understanding of IT networks.
  • You have basic understanding of Crestron control systems.

 

  • You bring passion, curiosity and willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies.
  • You want to work within a team, drive projects forward and close them at the highest standards.
  • You proactively share knowledge with colleagues, and you enjoy teaching others.
  • You possess an adequate level of English (German is not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
  • You have a driving license, class B minimum.
  • You have a working permit for the EU.

 

Your tasks

  • Bench test and validate new equipment and technologies.
  • Analyse tender specifications and assist the sales team during the sales engineering process.
  • Carry out site surveys, investigate existing system designs and validating documentation.
  • Develop the system designs and brief the installation team.
  • Provide the installation documentation such as cable schematics, rack layouts and patch layouts.
  • Provide the logical documentation such as network layouts, routing and switching.
  • Pre-configure all audio-visual systems prior to onsite works.
  • Collaborate with IT and Crestron programming teams working on the systems remotely.
  • Onsite commissioning of all systems including testing, troubleshooting and reporting.
  • System handover and as-built documentation.
  • Remote support existing customers.
