MTN and Bond Support Services Partner to Elevate Yacht Technology and Connectivity

MTN and Bond Support Services Partner to Elevate Yacht Technology and Connectivity

Launching at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, this alliance sets a new standard for onboard service and performance.

MTN and Bond Support Services, two trusted leaders in maritime technology, have joined forces to deliver a new standard of onboard connectivity and support for superyachts. The partnership offers tailored service models, flexible plan structures, and support aligned to each vessel’s operational profile. It is designed to meet the rising expectations of owners, captains, and shipyards seeking more reliable and integrated solutions.

Why This Matters

According to Grand View Research, the global yacht market was valued at $9.39 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach $13.29 billion by 2030. As the market grows, so does the demand for smarter, more future-ready infrastructure. Yet many vessels still rely on outdated systems, inconsistent networks, and fragmented support models. Our partnership with Bond is designed to change that by bringing greater simplicity, speed, and resilience to an industry that requires a network built for the 21st century.

What the Partnership Delivers

This alliance combines two areas of deep expertise:

  • MTN’s Contribution: MTN is a preferred Starlink and OneWeb reseller, offering tailored, usage-based plans with pooled options for fleets. Its enterprise-grade platform supports advanced services including link aggregation, private tunneling, traffic termination, and static IPs, with 24/7 live support. MTN’s specialized maritime hardware, including the new Performance Mounting System, ensures consistent gigabit-speed satellite connectivity.

  • Bond Support Services’ Contribution: Bond provides new build consultancy as well as a full suite of onboard technology solutions for both refit and support services, such as IT infrastructure, AV systems, cybersecurity, communication systems, security systems, air purification, IT, AV & Cyber Risk Awareness Training, and more recently, energy consumption monitoring. All of this is supported by their globally recognized 24/7 concierge model.

Together, we deliver 360-degree comprehensive support. This alliance ensures seamless integration between onboard systems and global connectivity solutions, high operational uptime with end-to-end multi-network management, and future-ready infrastructure capable of supporting emerging technologies and security standards. Clients can customize their plans and choose the level of support they need by working with one provider or both.

How MTN's New Alliance with Bond Support Services Is Raising the Standard for Yacht Connectivity, Operations, and Security

How MTN’s New Alliance with Bond Support Services Is Raising the Standard for Yacht Connectivity, Operations, and Security

From MTNSat, written by Tess Keegan – originally published September 17

Yacht captains and crew know the pain of managing multiple systems and vendors. One company handles the AV setup. Another manages the internet. A third provides support, and none of them talk to each other. When something breaks, the gaps show up fast.

That’s exactly what our new alliance with Bond is designed to fix.

By combining MTN’s global connectivity expertise with Bond Support Services’ onboard technology and support, we’re delivering a simpler, smarter, and more resilient way to run every aspect of a yacht’s digital environment.

Here’s what that means in practice:

Seamless Connectivity

We’ve integrated MTN’s high-speed satellite and 5G networks directly into Bond Support Services’ onboard systems. Navigation, entertainment, communication, and diagnostics all run on a unified network built for performance, wherever the vessel travels.

Unified Support

Instead of juggling multiple vendors, our clients work with one coordinated team. This speeds up resolution and creates a smoother, more consistent service experience.

Cost Optimization

MTN’s global scale lowers data costs, and Bond Support Services’ onboard infrastructure ensures efficient bandwidth use. Starlink and OneWeb plans are right-sized to each vessel, priced to actual consumption, and can be pooled across fleets or adjusted as needs change all without compromising performance.

Enhanced Cybersecurity & Resilience

We secure the connection from the vessel to shore. Bond Support Services’ protects onboard systems and guest devices. Together, we reduce risk with added services like link aggregation, private tunneling, traffic termination, and static IPs.

Scalability & Personalization

Whether the vessel is 40 meters or 150, the system scales with the operation. Packages are tailored to each yacht’s size, mission, and use case. They adapt as needs change over time.

Support That Fits the Way You Operate

Clients can customize their plans and choose the level of support they need by working with one provider or both. Either way, they get proven expertise, streamlined service, and a stronger digital foundation for how their vessels are run.

Get Ahead: The Importance of Pre-Season AV & IT System Checks for Superyachts

Get Ahead: The importance of Pre-Season AV & IT System Checks for Superyachts

As the summer charter season approaches, ensuring your superyacht’s AV and IT systems are fully operational is more important than ever. There’s nothing worse than discovering a critical failure mid-season – especially when the fix requires parts with lead times and you’ve got guests coming! That’s why pre-season checks should be a non-negotiable part of your annual routine.

Why Pre-Season Checks Matter
Sam Jablonski, former ETO and now Bond AV Support Manager says:

One of the most common culprits? Wireless Access Points (WAPs). WAPs are the backbone of a smooth onboard experience, and they’ll provide subtle warnings of failure long before they go offline entirely.
Inspecting them before the pre-season will catch those warning signs before guest Wi-Fi crashes suddenly halfway through the charter.

AV and IT systems are embedded in every part of the guest and crew experience – from streaming media to operating lights and blinds. When they go wrong, it’s not just a technology issue – it’s a service disruption.

What Can You Do Onboard?

You don’t need to wait for a shipyard period to get started. You can carry out system checks all over the vessel, ideally in coordination with your interior team.

We would recommend testing:

  • Guest cabin TVs and control systems
  • Streaming services and media servers
  • Wi-Fi coverage in guest spaces
  • iPad or touchscreen control panels
  • Network speed and redundancy
  • Device connectivity and stability

Don’t Have Time To Check? Let Bond Help

If your crew is too busy preparing the rest of the boat, Bond can support you in two ways:

  • Create a tailored test plan: We’ll work with you to outline a checklist specific to your yacht’s systems.
  • Remote or onboard support: Our engineers can remotely log in or come onboard to run full pre-season diagnostics, highlight weaknesses and recommend fixes.

Looking Ahead: Autumn Shipyard Planning

While you’re checking systems for summer, it’s also the ideal time to think ahead to your Autumn shipyard period. If there’s anything you’ve been meaning to upgrade, modernise, or overhaul – now is the time to start planning. Lead times for specialist AV and IT equipment are improving but they still require forward planning.

Let us know if you’re heading into the yard post-season. We can help scope, specify, and take care of everything from new hardware to a complete technology refit.

Need help with your AV/IT pre-season checks or upcoming yard period?
Get in touch with Bond for a system review – remote or onboard and avoid seasonal surprises
