Cyber risk is now a key part of yacht operations, with crew awareness playing an important role in reducing avoidable incidents and supporting compliance with GDPR and the ISM Code’s Cyber Risk Management requirements.
Created by Dr. Paul Hunton of Maritime Cyber Solutions together with Bond IT staff, our NCSC-accredited cyber courses are designed specifically for crew on vessels, management teams, and shoreside professionals.
The training helps learners recognise common cyber risks, understand how to reduce exposure, and respond more confidently to suspicious activity or a potential cyber incident.

E-Learning Course
Complete the course online, in your own time, from any internet-enabled device.
Instructor-Led Course via Zoom
A private 4-hour live session for your team, scheduled around your vessel’s availability.
Who is it for?
Our cyber courses are suitable for all crew and shoreside staff. No technical knowledge is required, just general familiarity with computers, mobile devices, and using the internet.
Certification
This course is NCSC-accredited in the UK. On completion, learners receive a certificate from Bond Support Services and Maritime Cyber Solutions valid for 2 years.
What learners will cover
Learners will develop awareness of:
- Common cyber risks and threats onboard and shoreside
- Simple steps to reduce cyber risk and exposure
- How to identify suspicious activity
- How to secure everyday devices used by crew and shoreside teams
- How to respond to a cyber incident
- GDPR and cyber risk management considerations

E-Learning: €72 per participant, excluding VAT Instructor-Led via Zoom: €700 for up to 5 participants, plus €140 per additional participant, excluding VAT (maximum 12 - 15 in one Zoom session to ensure verbal interaction with trainer)
